Chef Victor here, and lately I have reignited my passion for Korean cuisine. I am excited to share with you some new and returning favorites to the Zen Forrest menu. These items are available beginning tonight and I am looking forward to hearing how you like them.
Including:
Kim Chi (appetizer or side) (Korea)
Go Chu Chop (Korea) – Frenched bone-in pork chop. Marinated in GoChu, peppers, garlic, ginger, and onion. Pan seared and served with Ki Chi, steamed rice and pickled Asian vegetables.
and
Bokkum Bap (Korea)
Kim Chi and shredded pork or chicken fried rice. A dish sure to satisfy your cravings for garlicky and snappy flavors.
I am also adding
Zha Jiang Mian or “Fried Sauce Noodles (Northern China)
Rib-sticking noodle dish from Northern China. It has been compared to the Italian spaghetti bolognese. A dish consisting of thick fresh noodles topped with a mixture of chopped pork. Together they create an intensely aromatic sauce that’s salty, sweet, and loaded with umami flavor. Fresh crunchy cucumbers finish this amazing dish.
I hope you will visit soon and let me know how you like these dishes from Korea and Northern China.
