It’s time for Peking Duck at Zen Forrest
Here, at Zen Forrest, we are well-known for many culinary enticements, but one of our Chef’s favorites, has to be Peking Duck.
We are happy to announce that reservations are open for this season’s Peking Duck dinner. Join us on March 23 as Chef Victor Wang prepares and carves Peking Duck table side. This is the kind of feast you will want to share with friends.
Here are a few fun facts about Peking Duck:
- Peking Duck is a Northern Chinese cuisine, and originated in Beijing.
- The origin of the Peking Duck dates back to the Ming Dynasty, over 600 years ago.
- Peking Duck along with other recipes served in the royal palace (foods of the emperor) were smuggled out of the palace and on to the streets of China.
- Perfectly cooked Peking Duck is crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside.
- Peking Duck is traditionally served wih light pancakes, sliced cucumber, scallions and a variety of sauces.
- It is said when you visit China, there are two things you must do . . . visit the Great Wall and eat Peking Duck.
